What is the Impact of disputing payments made to Credit Providers?

Hyphen Payment Distribution Agency (Hyphen PDA) provides a service to Debt Counsellors and facilitates the safe movement of funds between their consumers and credit providers. Hyphen PDA is a subsidiary of FNB.

 

If you dispute your debit order after your credit providers have been paid, it causes a loss to Hyphen PDA, because they are unable to reverse funds paid to the credit providers. This means that you will need to settle the disputed amount with Hyphen PDA first before payments can continue to your credit providers. 

 

Once the client has settled the disputed amount, a new debit order mandate is required for Hyphen PDA to continue payments to your credit providers via debit order.
